The Challenge of Modern Design
Modern architecture, with its large glass expanses, deep overhangs, and clean, minimalist surfaces, requires absolute accuracy in construction. The Deerfield design demanded a cantilevered roof section and expansive, open interior spaces, which relied heavily on complex steel integration and flawless execution during Phase 2 (Foundation & Structure). Any small error in the structure would have been magnified in the final aesthetic.
